PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a foamed tile which has a specified shape, is free from contamination and has high wear resistance and to provide a process for production capable of stably producing the tile. ;SOLUTION: The foamed tile is produced by mixing glass grains 11 and inorg. foamable powder 10 to obtain a mixture 14 coated with the inorg. foamable powder 10 around the glass grains 11, laminating a decorative layer 15 on the resultant mixture 14, press forming the mixture and firing the resultant molding to foam the molding in the process for producing the foamed tile.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
