PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for accurately determining a background signal and discriminating an actual signal generated from a probe/targeted molecule.;SOLUTION: A microarray for coupling to a target includes a unstructured probe (5) attached to the surface of a substrate, coupled to a target and generating a first signal (14), a structured probe (6) attached to the surface of the substrate and generating a second signal (15) and a light source for exciting the unstructured probe (5) and the structured probe (6).
