PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a high resolution image, without color moires in the case of compositing two original images photographed by shifting an image by one pixel. SOLUTION: Respective pixel data R(n), corresponding to a second or a third color light not obtained from an image-pickup element are obtained by adding pixel data G(n), corresponding to a first color light at the same position as that of the pixel data to values LPF(R) resulting from low-pass processing to pixel data groups R(n-1), R(n+1) corresponding to the second or third color light which is arranged in one direction at the same position as the pixel data and subtracting values LPF(G) resulting from low-pass filter processing to pixel data groups G(n-1), G(n+1) corresponding to a first color light arranged in a direction through the same position as that of the pixel data from the sum.
