PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a water repellent/polisher which can give excellent gloss and water repellency to the coated surface of a vehicle by mixing a specified aminopolyorganosiloxane with an organic acid, polydimethylsiloxane and an aqueous solvent. ;SOLUTION: This treating agent is prepared by mixing 100 pts.wt. aminopolyorganosiloxane represented by formula I (wherein R is a 1-20C hydrocarbon group; R1 is R, a 1-6C alkoxyl or hydroxyl; R2 is a substituent of formula II; R3 and R5 are each a 1-6C hydrocarbon group; R4, R6 and R7 are each H or a 1-20C hydrocarbon group; and (r) is 0-3) with 1-50 pts.wt. organic acid, 1-500 pts.wt. polydimethylsiloxane having a viscosity of 5-300cSt at 25°C, and 1,000-300,000 pts.wt. aqueous solvent. In formula I, R1 is desirably methyl, methoxyl or ethoxyl, and the effect is high when all of R1s are the same. The aminopolyorganosiloxane desirably has a viscosity of 200-2,000cSt at 25°C.
