PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a priming apparatus for catheter and a catheter device equipped with such priming apparatus with which it is practicable to perform the priming of the internal lumen of catheter easily and certainly. SOLUTION: A priming apparatus 2 is for a catheter 3 equipped with a lumen opening at the tip and the base end. The apparatus 2 allows insertion of catheter with the tip leading and is equipped with a catheter fixture 4 capable of being removably attached to the catheter (catheter tube 31) liquid-tightly, a tubing 5 whose one end is connected with the fixture 4, and a liquid injector connected with the other end of the tubing 5. The catheter device 1 consists of the priming apparatus 2 and the catheter 3.
