PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of defective grain such as crushed rice by strengthening polishing effect by a flap to improve polishing efficiency. ;CONSTITUTION: In a horizontal grinding rice-milling machine, a flap 4 which is projected from divided screens 3 side to give resistance to unpolished rice is installed on a base 5 which is placed between the divided screens 3 in a milling chamber 2. A space C is formed between a part of the flap 4 on the upper side of the rotation of a grinding roll 1 and the ends of the screens 3. The ridgeline part 4a of the flap 4 can be projected from the extended position of the insides 3a of the screens 3 gradually to the grinding roll 1 side, or constitution in which the space C and the flap 4 project gradually can be synthesized. In addition, the flap 4 is placed at a position opposite to the grinding roll 1, and the position can be made freely rotatable and displacable around the rotational axis of the grinding roll 1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
