PURPOSE: To stably produce fiber which has high frictional resistance properties and imparts a cloth such as woven or knitted fabrics with high frictional resistance as well as a soft fabric hand and obtain cloth made of the high frictional resistance fiber. ;CONSTITUTION: This fiber is a conjugated one which is composed of a thermoplastic elastomer composition and a thermoplastic resin where at least a part of the elastomer composition is exposed to the fiber surfaces. A high frictional resistance fiber with static and dynamic frictional resistance of ≥100gf, strength of ≥1.0g/d. elongation of ≥40% is obtained by melt-extruding together a thermoplastic elastomer composition with a melt flow of 8-30g/10min and a thermoplastic resin with a melt flow of 5-30g/10min at 200-300°C to form into in a sheath-core type or side-by-side type and drawing the conjugated fiber.
