PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce uneven flow of an air suction stream of a fan to reduce noise by a method wherein a heat exchanger where heat exchange takes place between the air suction stream and an exhaust stream and a fan are provided, and a pass area of a flow path for one either the air suction stream or the exhaust stream is formed in the middle of the heat exchanger, and pass areas of flow paths for the other stream are formed on both sides of the pass area. ;SOLUTION: When a fan is operated, primary air flows into a main body from a suction port on one of side faces of the main body and is divided into two streams. One of the streams passes straight by the side of an impeller casing 21 of the fan and is divided into upper and lower streams 5 and 6. The other stream passes through a path 15 between the impeller casing 21 and a side face 16 of the main body and flows over and below an air duct member 22 intersecting the air duct member 22 and is divided into upper and lower streams. The upper primary air stream 5 flows into a first heat exchanging element 1 from a pass area on the upside and a lower primary air stream 6 flows into a second heat exchanging element 2 from a pass area on the downside.
