PURPOSE:To improve storage property of a battery by using annular ether containing halogen atom as a solvent of an organic electrolyte, to improve the stability of the electrolyte, and by utilizing the electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:The volume ratio of propylene carbonate, 1, 2-dimethoxyethane and epifluorohidrine is determined as 1:1:1, and 0.3 mol/l of LiC4F9SO3 is dissolved in the blended solvent, and an organic electrolyte 4 is thus formed. A band-shape positive electrode 1 is formed of a mixture of heat-treated manganese dioxide, carbon black, and polytetrafluoroethylene, and a stainless steel net. The positive electrode is wrapped in a separator 3 made of polypropylene film having very small holes, while a band-shape negative electrode 2, for which sheet-shape lithium is press-fitted, is wound around in a superimposed manner, to form a spiral electrode body, which is filled in a battery case 5. The opening part is sealed after the electrolyte 4 is injected, and an organic electrolyte battery is thus formed.
