PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image-metadata providing apparatus and its method, and a color temperature conversion apparatus for the image metadata and its method.;SOLUTION: The image-metadata providing apparatus comprises a color temperature computation part 110 for obtaining color temperature information from a predetermined inputted image signal, a metadata generation part 120 for converting the provided color temperature information into metadata to store the metadata in a data base, and an image metadata transmission part for transmitting the metadata, together with an image signal to a user terminal through a predetermined telecommunication network when receiving a transmission request for the image signal from the user terminal. This eliminates the need for color computation at the user terminal to contribute to reduction in cost for the user terminal, and the required color temperature value can be stored in the data base and used through the telecommunication.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
