PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simulate shade due to direct light without utilizing reflection light, perform separation from a light source, eliminate the need for increasing the size of a device, and improve ease of use. SOLUTION: Shade is imitated using a building or city model 1, artificial lighting that is a light source is set at a remote location, or sun is used, and a stand plate 2 where the building or city model 1 is provided is placed on a rotary device 8. The rotary device 8 is rotated in the direction of latitude or longitude when the stand plate 2 is regarded as the ground so that the rotary device 8 performs the relative movement similarly as the move of the light source along the ecliptic.
