PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a caster wheel which does not totter laterally nor easily become reversed when reversing a traveling direction. ;SOLUTION: The caster wheel comprises a fixing part 11 for fixing the caster wheel to a cart or the like, a guide member 12 held rotatable relative to the fixing part 11, a slide member 13 held slidable horizontally relative to the guide member 12, a wheel 15 held rotatable via a rotating shaft 14, and stopper members 16 supported on the rotating shaft. The slide member 13 can move within a long hole formed at the side of the guide member 12. The stopper members 16 rises by a frictional force generated between the stopper members and the wheel 15 or the rotating shaft 14, engaging with the guide member to keep the wheel offset to the guide member, which prevents the wheel from tottering laterally or becoming reversed when reversing a traveling direction, thereby enabling stable traveling.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
