PURPOSE: To provide an improved dressing tool for dressing a double-lead cylindrical grinding worm for roll grinding a spur gear. ;CONSTITUTION: A tool 1 is formed by a single profile roller 5 and two semi-rib profile rolls 10, 11 separated by a distance disc 13. Both flanks 31, 33 of a grinding worm threaded lead 32 of one of grinding worms 30 is dressed by both flanks 6, 7 of the single profile roller 5, and the other both flanks 35, 38 of the other threaded lead 36 are dressed by both flanks 14, 16 of the semi-rib profile rolls 10, 11.
