Wrist support vessel null for wrist tunnel syndrome

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relieve a wrist tunnel syndrome and to retard its progression. ;SOLUTION: The wrist supporter 100 for the wrist tunnel syndrome includes a shell 10 having first and second end edges provided with plural cord holes 12. Both end edges are coupled to each other by tongue-like members 20 sewn between these end edges. The shell includes a hole 11 for the thumb for housing the thumb and is formed to the shape adapted to the patient's wrist in such a manner that the remaining four fingers extend through the shell in the state that the patient inserts the hand and the wrist into the base end of the shell and passes the thumb into the hole for the thumb. The shell is fastened to the patient's wrist by using a pair of hook-and-loop fasteners 33a, 33b and plural braided cords 30.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
