An analog FIR-filter comprising an asynchronous &Sgr;&Dgr; modulator (AM) generating amplitude-discrete time-continuous pulses coupled to a sequence of delay cells (C₁ . . . C_n) for delaying the amplitude-discrete time-continuous pulses. One or more output devices (O₁, O_n, S₁, S_n, I₁, I_n) for low pass filtering of the delayed amplitude-discrete time-continuous pulses.
