"PROCESS FOR CLARIFYING SULPHONATE DETERGENT CURVE DISPENSION CONTAINING CALCITE OIL, ENGINE OIL, OIL DISPERSION AND LUBRICANT OIL". A cloudy dispersion of a calcite-containing sulfonate detergent in oil is clarified by a process comprising the steps of: a) adding to the dispersion at least one acidifying compound selected from the group consisting of carbon dioxide; sulfur dioxide; organosulfonic acids having a molecular weight of at least 400; and organic carboxylic acids, diacids and anhydrides containing at least 7 carbon atoms, b) reacting the dispersion in the presence of the acidifying compound, water and at least one volatile organic solvent, and c) removing volatiles from the dispersion thus reacted by spraying.
