"METHOD OF DESIGNING AND MANUFACTURING TOOL FOR RUBBER PROCESSING USING AN INTERFACE WITH A CAD / CAM LOGIC SUPPORT PROGRAM". A user interface tool is provided for interfacing with a CAD / CAM software package, such as Pro / ENGINEER (tm) that is resident on the client computer or a second server computer. The interface tool is resident on the client computer. Parameters are fed by the user into web pages, and then transferred to Pro / ENGINEER by the interface tool. Pro / ENGINEER outputs drawings, 3-D models, and machining codes using information that has been transferred from the interface tool. The user can create or modify, and verify from various aspects, machinable process tooling models such as "preformers". Pro / ENGINEER can then create suitable toolpaths and output the machining code for CNC (computer numerical control) machines.
