A METHOD FOR ESTABLISHING OWNERSHIP OF LOST AND FOUND PROPERTY

An invention relates to methods for establishing ownership of lost and found property. Data about clients, such as client's serial number, access password and contact data are entered into a database. Each client receives identifying articles, such as pendants and stickers, containing information about the database holder, alphabet and/or cipher code of a particular property to be identified, free phone number and/or e-mail address for the finders of the lost property. The identifying codes of particular property are associated with the client's serial number in the database, and the identifying articles themselves are attached to client's property. In case a lost client's property with an identifying article attached was found, the finder would communicate the code of particular identifying article and his contact data to the database holder, and the latter then could communicate the contact data of the finder to the client in whose name the identifying article is registered in the database.
