An orientation device (7) mounted in a frame (1) receives the bundle of flowers (10) from a feed device (2) and orients them towards an open sleeve of film material (5) on a support surface (4). A displacement device moves the orientation device and the oriented bundle of flowers into the open sleeve. At least one stack of film material sleeves with at least one open side (5a) is placed on top of a support surface in the frame. A device is provided for opening the sleeve on the support surface. A device (3) is provided for removing the wrapped bundle of flowers from the frame.
