Method involves creation of protected software by choosing a conditional branch within the vulnerable software that is to be protected, and producing protected source code from the vulnerable source code by modifying it such that the executing system has the functionality of the conditional branching at its disposition for processing information from the selected branch point. The invention also relates to a corresponding system, data processing unit and assembly for distribution of protected software.
