A hybrid grid generation method for making it possible to model a formation heterogeneous crossing by one or several wells

Modelling fluid flows within a heterogeneous medium traversed by a channel of known geometry uses a three dimensional hybrid network. The model is constructed from measured data, analyses and/or images. Modelling associates a first network giving information about discontinuities with a second radial network for each well within the network. There is a transition network between the two networks. The second network is consistent with numerical data for fluid flow in the well(s). An Independent claim is included for a process of simulating fluid flows in a heterogeneous medium.
