A radio system (1) comprising a radio and a press to talk (PTT) switch (16,17) which, when operated, sets the radio to a transmit mode, the switch forming part of a switch unit (12) which is supported on the radio by an interface arrangement (6) allowing detachment of the switch unit from the radio.
