The heel part of the cross-country ski binding with corresponding design of the cross-country ski-boot according to the invention enhances the torsion stability upon rebound and at the same time ensures such a shoe position and thus also the foot and shank position that it provides optimum transformation of the rebound power and energy of the runner into skiing speed. The heel part (1) of the ski binding according to the invention is made in one piece with the basic part (6) designed to slightly stand out, while both slant lateral sides (7a, 7b) feature in the lateral perspective a trapezoid shape and flat top areas (9a, 9b). The heel of the cross-country ski-boot is adequately adapted to the heel part according to the invention so that on the external and internal side of the heel there are edges (10) with corresponding fitting (11) and matching surfaces (12), which fit the ski-binding (1) sides (7a, 7b).
