The steeplejack device comprises the flexible tie-rod, the appliance for attaching the tie-rod to the support, and the attachment-and-safety unit. The flexible tie-rod represents the rope. The appliance for attaching the tie-rod to the support is designed as the chain with the end snap hooks. The attachment-and-safety unit represents C-shaped arch-like tube with the belts for the chest and the waist as well as the bicycle-type seat. The braking mechanism is located under the seat with the blocks embracing the rope. The foot support attached below the seat is designed as the holder with the pedals and connected with the C-shaped arch-like tube with the aid of the safety loop. In addition, the device comprises the demountable pick-up hook with two-arm levers.
