METHOD FOR TREATING PANCREATIC ABSCESS

The method for treating the pancreatic abscess comprises upper and middle laparotomy with the revision of the peritoneal cavity, the broad dissection of the gastrocolic ligament in its central part, the dissection of the pancreas within the abscess by the transverse cut extending the whole length of the destruction area, the internal sanitization of the abscess, and the draining of the pathological focus. Postoperatively the necrotic tissue is removed under the visual control until the generation of the granulation tissue. The tube used for draining the pathological area is extended onto the anterior abdominal wall through the separate subcostal port. The sanitization of the pathological area provides for employing the ointment prepared with the water-soluble base. The warm (41-42 c) ointment is administered through the drainage. Then the pneumatic compression of the residual cavity is performed. The volume of the ointment administered equals the volume of the residual cavity. The visualization of the abscess and the endoscopic necrosequestrectomy is performed through the draining tubes.
