GASTRIC FISTULA AND TECHNIQUE FOR ITS INSERTION

The gastric fistula and the technique for its insertion comprises the laparotomy, the dissection of the gastric mucosa upon applying the purse-string suture, the insertion of the fistula into the gastric cavity, the application of the second purse-string suture surrounding the fistula. Two supporting ligatures attach the fistula to the peritoneum. The roll is formed between the external disk and the skin. The tube of the fistula is fixed in the stomach with the aid of the single serous-muscular suture. Four separate interrupted sutures fix the gastric wall to the parietal peritoneum. The fistula consists of the tube with the opening and the disk put onto the tube.
