The method for treating the diffuse encephalomyelitis with herpes virus persistence consists in the use of the drugs in the setting of the basic therapy. The herpes viruses are assessed in the blood and the liquor. When the activation of herpes virus is revealed, the nucleoside analogues are infused dropwise while a-interferon or its inducer is injected intramuscularly.
