The thrust-absorbing union (1) is between two adjacently located parts (2,3) in a motor vehicle and comprises paired pins (4,5) fitted in one part (2) projecting from a locating surface and positioned at a selected reciprocal distance (a). Recesses are arranged in a locating surface in the other part located at a corresponding reciprocal distance. The pins are dimensioned, shaped and positioned so that they can fit into each of the recesses. The pins in a base surface have two convexly curved fitting surfacse, which give each pin a selected cross-sectional dimension (d) between the fitting surfaces. In the fitted state of the parts, the fitting surfaces coincide with parts of the recess peripheral surfaces. Between the pin fitting surfaces are parts (15,18) where each pin has a lesser cross-sectional dimension (x) than the cross-sectional dimension between the fitting surfaces.
