A spirally wound corrugated pipe manufacturing machine has inner and outer band (4, 5) rollers, with diametrically opposed shoulder regions to define a rectangular deformation space. A machine for the manufacture of corrugated pipe, by helical winding of a longitudinally corrugated strip, comprises: (a) an outer band joining roller (5), with a corrugated profile that is coupled to the corrugated profile of the band (6 ); and (b) an inner band (4) roller, with a corrugated profile greater than the corrugated profile of the band, the corrugated peaks having the same radius of curvature as the corrugated peaks of the band, and the corrugated valleys having a radius of curvature slightly greater than the corrugated valleys of the band. In the corrugated region that is to be joined to the band and deformed, the two rollers have diametrically opposed protruding regions that form an intermediate rectangular deformation space.
