Perfluoroalkylated oligomeric compounds having the general formula (I) AR {sup, F} are presented, wherein A is a molecular fraction with between 2 and 6 metal complexes attached to the annular structural chain directly or by means of a linker with a hydrogen atom; and R {sup, F} is a straight or branched perfluorinated carbon chain of the formula C {sub, n} F {sub, 2n} E, in which E is a fluorine, chlorine, bromine, iodine or hydrogen atom terminal yn has a value between 4 and 30. These compounds are valuable for diagnosis, in particular as in vivo contrast agents.
