The furnace for expansion of perlite has an internal tubular body (2) and an external body (1) surrounding it, between which is defined a regulation chamber (6) and an insulation chamber (7), feed tubes (9) being provided for crude perlite into the tubular body. A burner (16) is provided in the base of the furnace. An upper combustion air intake (11) is incorporated. The expansion of the perlite occurs by it ascending through the internal tubular body. The internal tubular body comprises upper supports (3) of the external body and guides (4) for the internal tubular body so that the latter can dilate freely, guided axially by the guides. The feed tubes are provided with devices for pre-heating the crude perlite.
