The formulation for extraction of humic matter comprises two components selected from components A, B and C each made up of agents of a basic, a sequestrian nature. Also claimed is a process producing the extract. CLAIMED PROCESS - The process contacts an organic substrate with the extraction formulation, with or without addition of water for separation of the resulting liquid.
