AN ADDITIVE AND A PROCESS FOR INHIBITING THE CORROSION OF METALS IN CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS AND CONSTRUCTIONS MATERIALS CONTAINING SAID ADDITIVE

Additives are disclosed which inhibit the corrosionof metals in construction materials which contain an inorganicbinder. The inventive corrosion inhibitors contain a reactionproduct of amines and acids or they consist of such a reactionproduct. Said saltlike corrosion inhibitors upon use do notdevelop any undesired fragrance, and they furthermore do notbring along any health risks for the persons who are workingwith said substances. Through the adding of the inventivecorrosion inhibitors, furthermore the properties of theconstruction material during its preparation and also during itsuse can be improved. In corresponding processes for inhibitingthe corrosion of metals which are in contact with theconstruction materials, like e.g. metal armings, the corrosioninhibitors are usually added in an amount of 0.01% by weight to10% by weight of said reaction product, referred to the inorganicbinder which is contained in such material. Constructionmaterials which contain the inventive corrosion inhibitorsprovide a corrosion inhibition of any metal parts embedded intosaid construction materials over decades of years.
