METHOD AND PROGRAM STORAGE DEVICE FOR GENERATING GRIDS REPRESENTING THE ARCHITECTURE OF FLUVIAL RESERVOIRS

A method of generating a plurality of simulation results adapted for displayon a display device including generating a plurality of model realizations ofrepresenting an architecture of a fluvial reservoir to a plurality of rockclassifications (18, 20) and generating a plurality of grids (22) representingthe architecture of the fluvial reservoir based on the plurality of modelrelaizations. A first software module (24) receives the plurality of grids(22) and generates 3D grids processed by a second software module (30) intogridded tops and bases of a plurality of valid channel realizations, with the3D grids representing the plurality of grids modelling the architecture of thefluvial reservoir. The 3D grids are displayed using a 3D viewer (42).
