LOCATION SEVICE SUPPORT FOR DISTRIBUTED BTS ARCHITECTURE

The invention is used for location service support of a distributed BTS system structure. In a communication system which comprises a receiver and a plurality of sub-receivers, the signal received by each sub-receiver is forwarded to the receiver. A method, which is used for determining which sub-receiver the signal received by the receiver is from, comprises the following steps: a time lag is allocated to each sub-receiver; the signal received by each sub-receiver is delayed for a corresponding time lag; whether the received signal appears in a time window relating to each time lag is determined; and the signal that is received in the time window relating to a particular time lag is determined to be received by a corresponding sub-receiver.
