A children's tennis racket as an abridged version (K1) or short version (K2) or a junior version (K3), comprising a frame (1) defining a bed of springs (3), strings and a handle (K2) and whose point of balance (S) is essentially distanced in the longitudinal axis of the racket from the end of the handle. The invention relates to a system enabling children to learn how to play tennis, comprising transversal markings (M) which can be offset at a distance from the net (8) on a standard playing field (6) and at least one tennis racket for children (K1,K2,K3) which is provided with strings, having a maximum weight of 18°g and whose point of balance (S) is located at a maximum of 1.0 cms inside the frame.
