POINTS FOR A FEEDING SYSTEM, ESPECIALLY A GRAVITY ROLLER TABLE

The invention relates to points for a feeding system, especially a gravity roller table, for turning round material to be conveyed in a level from one main feeder to an auxiliary feeder which bifurcates from the main feeder. The points consist of a group of interacting modules that are especially individually actuated. Each module comprises a pillow block (20, 120), a fork (30, 130) that is pivotably accommodated in the pillow block and around a vertical axis and a roller body (40, 140) that is pivotably mounted in the fork and around a horizontal axis and that partly forms the support for the material to be conveyed (10). The points can be switched from the straight to the turn-round position and vice versa by accordingly pivoting the forks (30, 130) and thereby the roller body (40, 140). The forks and thereby the roller body are lifted into the turn-round position as opposed to the straight position by means of a lifting mechanism which inevitably enters into action when the fork is pivoted from the straight position into the turn-round position.
