The invention relates to a miniature electronic system or device which the user can carry in a pocket or fix to a piece of clothing where it is concealed with a fastener that is integrated into the device. The inventive device is used to facilitate the monitoring of determined objects, people or pets. Said device automatically alerts the user with an audible or visible alarm when he/she is moving away from the objects being monitored. Passports, wallets, briefcases, laptops, etc. are just a few of the very many objects that require special attention. However, even more importantly, the invention can be used to prevent a child or a disabled person from approaching a dangerous area unsupervised or from moving out of the sight of the user in a dangerous area. The inventive system comprises a receiver and a transmitter which transmits a constant signal. When said transmitter is removed from the communication area thereof, the signal is interrupted and an alarm is automatically activated. The objects being monitored with said system bear a removable adhesive sticker for which a distance at which the signal is to be cut off and the alarm activated is determined in the factory. The distances, from two to twenty metres, can be selected by the user. Owing to the infinite number of possible uses for said device, the range of applications outlined in the invention is limited exclusively by the requirements or the creativity of each user. When used widely and frequently for daily tasks, the inventive device prevents, among others, unnecessary expenditures relating to replacing goods and work tools and, more importantly, said device can prevent a person from getting lost in many cases.
