FALLING FILM VAPOR ABSORBER, COOLING SYSTEM, AND METHOD

An absorber for an absorption cooling system includes at least two film guides arranged one beneath another so that the film guides guide a falling film sequentially, one after another. At least two adjacent film guides guide the falling film alternately from opposite surfaces of the falling film. Thus, the opposite surfaces of the falling film are alternatively exposed to a vapor. One or more of the film guides may be cooled by a coolant so that the falling film is in turn cooled.
