In another method the aberrational wave is generated by inputting a spherical wave to a compound optical system including a prism and a spherical lens whose parameters in shape are determined by mathematical programming so that an aberration of a deflected reproducing light beam on an image surface during reproduction of the hologram is minimized.;In the hologram scanner the hologram recorded by one of these methods is disposed on a rotatable hologram disk for deflecting a reproducing light beam by diffraction so as to scan an image surface by the deflected reproducing light beam during a rotation of said hologram disk.
