A method and system of simulating components using a compressed vector-based equivalent of a signal in which an input signal is coverted to a compressed vector-based format (401), followed by simulation processing of the compressed vector-based data (403). After simulation processing, results of the simulation processing are recoverted back to the form of the input signal (405).
