The invention relates to a boat which has been specially designed to combat black tides, i.e. a garbage-collecting boat. The inventive boat essentially comprises three large parts, namely: two or more separate, parallel hulls (1) which are designed to be used as a tank for the storage of oil after pumping; one or more moveable vertical partitions (2) which are disposed between the aforementioned hulls and which are intended to form dead-end spaces in which the oil is stored; and a superstructure (3) which is located astride the two hulls and which comprises the equipment necessary to the operation of a boat, pumping means for off-shore oil recovery and the device for handling the above-mentioned moveable partitions. During navigation, said partitions are maintained in the upper position and, when the boat arrives at its destination, they are lowered for the containment and recovery of the oil.
