Disclosed is a device which can be mounted on a protective helmet or similar, accommodates a thermographic camera or a display unit or similar, and is used for interior fire fighting. Said device comprises at least one entirely closed housing (1, 2) which is made from several molded parts. The wall of the housing (1, 2) is produced so as to have a layered structure and is provided with a substrate or a support (20) and a metallic outer coating (22). The housing electromagnetically shields the components that are disposed therein.
