Laser light transmitting colored polyolefin resin compositions containing salified anthraquinone dyes represented by the following general formula; and a process for laser welding characterized in that irradiation with laser is conducted in a state wherein a laser light transmitting material made from the composition and a laser light absorbing material are in contact with each other and in such a way that laser light permeates through the laser light transmitting material and is absorbed by the laser light absorbing material to thereby weld both the materials in the contacting portions. In the general formula, A and B are each -NH- or -O-; R1 to R3 are each hydrogen, amino, hydroxyl, or halogeno; R4 to R13 are each hydrogen, alkyl, nitro, or a sulfonic acid group; Kin+ is an organic ammonium ion; m is 1 or 2; n is 1 or 2; the sulfonic acid group is -SO3 or SO3M; m is the number of -SO3 groups; and M is hydrogen or an alkali metal.
