There is provided a method for easily setting jet-pressures of picking nozzles of a fluid-jet loom, respectively, by coping with variation in workpiece in process, particularly, variation in yarn type of a weft yarn in process.;To that end, the method of setting the jet-pressures of the fluid-jet loom, comprises the steps of presetting a plurality of formulas with a picking rate (X) as a variable, for example, a linear equation V = AX + B so as to correspond to respective yarn types of a weft yarn (6) in order to compute recommended set pressure values V of the jet pressure for the picking nozzles (main nozzle 4, and sub-nozzles 5), selecting the formula corresponding to the yarn type of the weft yarn (6) at a time of setting the jet pressure as a picking condition, and computing and outputting the recommended set pressure values V for the picking nozzles (the main nozzle 4, and sub-nozzles 5), respectively, by use of the formula as selected.
