Method for Determining Walsh Space Mask Bitmap for Allocating Walsh Code

PURPOSE: A method of determining a Walsh space mask bitmap for assigning a Walsh code is provided to determine a corresponding Walsh_Mask bit, depending on whether the Walsh code is used, thereby reducing loss of the Walsh code and improving efficiency of the code. CONSTITUTION: Among one pair of Walsh codes corresponding to one bit of a Walsh space mask bitmap, if one of the Walsh codes is used by other channel, a bit value of the Walsh space mask bitmap is determined, depending on whether a position of the Walsh code used by the other channel and a final Walsh code usable in a forward packet data channel are included. Only when the one pair of the Walsh codes are firstly located on an index and the Walsh code used by the other channel is located later, the corresponding bit of the Walsh space mask bitmap is determined as '0'.
