PURPOSE: A device for preventing a base metal from being cohering on a circumferential surface of a settling tube is provided to prevent slag from adherence and coagulation on the circumference of the settling tube by preventing the temperature drop of molten bath surface. CONSTITUTION: A device for preventing a base metal from being cohering on a circumferential surface of a settling tube includes an annular injection pipes(10A,10B) having a plurality of injection holes enclosing a settling tube at the upper portion of the settling tube, a powder material storage tank(30) mounted to provide powder materials of powder type to the annular injection pipes through a powder material supply pipe(22), and an inert gas supply main pipe(40) for supplying inert gas to the powder material supply pipe and storage tank.
