PURPOSE: A veneration-construction method of an earth dam is provided to secure the stability of a dam sufficiently, to have perfect effects of water stopping and to reduce construction expenses. CONSTITUTION: The veneration-construction method of an earth dam comprises the steps of: excavating a contact part with the water surface of the upper stream from the existing earth dam(10) to be stepped, then shotcreting to prevent the surface loss caused by rainwater; placing a plinth(18) on an appropriate part of the foundation of the dam(10) to prevent an incline from sliding down; constructing a slope(22) of a dam by hardening a rubble layer along the stepped plane(12) repeatedly; banking a top part(24) to the appointed height on the slope, then hardening; hardening the outer layer of a slope(22) from the top part(24), then shotcreting; and placing a concrete cut-off wall on the outer layer of the hardened slope(22) to standardize the slope of a dam.
