PURPOSE: A strain for decomposing high concentration benzene higher than 1500ppm, Pseudomonas putida HPLB-1 (KCCM-10187), shows excellent bioremediation effects for benzene contaminated soil over wide range of pH(pH4-7) and is able to culture in both aerobic and anaerobic condition. CONSTITUTION: Pseudomonas putida HPLB-1 (KCCM-10187) is isolated in MSM(minimum salt medium) comprising Na2HPO4·12H2O 9g/L, KH2PO4 1.5g/L, MgSO4· 7H2O 0.2g/L, NH4Cl 1.0g/L, FeSO4·7H2O 0.1g/L, CaCl2·2H2O 0.1g/L, ZnSO4·7H2O 10mg/L, MnCl·4H2O 3mg/L, H3BO3 30mg/L, CoCl2·6H2O 20mg/L, CuCl·6H2O 0.56mg/L, NiCl·6H2O 2mg/L, NaMoO4·2H2O 10mg/L.
