PURPOSE: A method for preparing a delaminating acrylate resin/layered silicate nanocomposite and a delaminating acrylate resin/layered silicate nanocomposite prepared by the method are provided, to enable a delaminating acrylate resin/layered silicate nanocomposite to be prepared by emulsion polymerization without substituting the polar surface of layered silicate having bad affinity to a polymer with a nonpolar organic compound. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of adding an acrylate resin monomer, an initiator and a reactive emulsifying agent to a layered silicate dispersion solution, and polymerizing the mixture to prepare a polymer; and adding a monomer to the polymer and post-polymerizing the mixture. Preferably the layered silicate is at least one selected from the group consisting of montmorillonite, hectorite, fluorohectorite and saponite; and the acrylate resin monomer is at least one selected from the group consisting of methyl methacrylate, methacrylate, methyl acrylate, butyl methacrylate, butyl acrylate and isooctyl acrylate. The content of the layered silicate in the nanocomposite is 0.1-10 wt%.
